Naga Cain

The Naga (also sometimes referred to as Gorgons or Lamia) were once part of the Rusalki species but their evolution branched off and they adapted to be able to live on land (Their previous planet that they inhabited millions of years ago had very few land masses and thus they hadn't evolved this way until they came to earth). Over time they became less aquatic and more "reptilian" to suit their needs though they are still amphibious and are equally if not more dangerous in the water.

Because of their desire to dwell on land many of the Rusalki have turned their backs on the Naga and have even fought with them in the past.
Compared to their aquatic brethren the Naga are vastly fewer in number and make their homes far underground, mainly beneath cities where they use the sewers to find prey (Mostly stray animals and the homeless).

Female Naga tend to be larger and more deadly then the males and have been known to cannibalize them (One possible reason as to why their population isn't that great, another may be in order to keep themselves a secret from humans) they are often rather feral and vicious yet posses astonishing intelligence.

The Naga are ruled by "Queens" who are often the oldest, most powerful ancients.

My OC Cain (as seen above) encountered the Naga some time after his encounters with the Rusalki and absorbed the ability to transform into one as well whenever he chooses. This picture doesn't really do his form justice as in real life his snake-like lower body is far more detailed.

Powers/Abilities:
Naga are much stronger then even the strongest of humans. They are extremely fast allowing them to kill their prey before it even know what hit it.
Like the Rusalki they have amazing regenerative powers and are capable of living hundreds if not thousands of years. They have their own complex way of communication which consists of a combination of hissing but can also use telepathy and human speech. Their bite is highly venomous but they don't often use it to kill as they prefer to squeeze their victims to death or simply tear them apart with their razor sharp talons.
