An idea I had several years back for a new virus called the O-Virus (Omega Virus) that gave those infected with it "Vampiric" like attributes. This is the more advanced mutations on a human host.

Wow that is what resident evil needs to be scary again that thing stalking you. The claws and body shape look like a tyrants which is really cool, not to mention the bat like atributes, scary as hell.
