Description
My character Ravana from my story Ascension, drawn here in his True form to show the size difference between his usual height and an average human. (Though he is able to alter his size while in the demon world).
Ravana is the former demon prince of the Rakshasa and his home world, Ignius Regin (AKA Realm of Fire in Demon Speak) where he served as Demon General to his father, the Demon Lord Vishrava.
Each Demon Lord has their own General, their most powerful and trusted of warriors who often lead their armies into battle against one another. Of the 10 Generals Ravana was always the most powerful, this led to the others being very jealous of him.
When Cain began to make himself known in the human world by taking out evildoers the news eventually made its way to the Demon Universe Yyon Yoril. Annoyed by this the Demon Lords temporarily put a halt to their unending war to figure out what to do about him. In the end they decided to send their strongest General to assassinate Cain, Ravana being the one selected to go.
Unfortunately Ravana was defeated after a long and difficult battle against Cain's "Demon form" and upon his return to Yyon Yoril he was confronted by the Demon King himself Adeodatus who punished Ravana's failure by stripping away his powers and banishing him to earth.
After this Ravana doesn't play a very big role in the story for awhile, only occasionally appearing in a comical light as he is forced to adapt to living in the human world even going as far as having to get a human job.
He appears later on however at the end of Season 1 during the "Hell Invasion" arc, this time to help Cain stop Adeodatus and to get revenge.
Due to the energies from Yyon Yoril flooding into earth Ravana regains some demonic powers that he uses to fight several of his old enemies (Other demon Generals) and eventually his father Vishrava and then teleports himself and several others off of Earth before it explodes.
At the time of his creation his fellow Rakshasa were shocked by his odd, unique appearance: Unlike normal Rakshasa who posses a bright red mane and pitch black skin Ravana had pale skin and silver hair.
Much later in the story Ravana would discover the truth behind this: He had been created when his father "bred" with fellow demon lord Belphegor in an attempt to create a more powerful type of Demon after they formed a semi-alliance.
Of those produced Ravana was the only perfect hybrid. He learns that because he is the only perfect hybrid of two Demon Lords he is the only one who possessed the potential to one day take the place of Demon King, this is the real reason why Adeodatus sent him to earth (knowing Ravana would fail to defeat Cain) so that he could take away his powers.
